Copywriter by conviction, Luis Miguel has more than 20 years of experience, having collaborated as Creative Director for agencies such as Scali, McCabe, Sloves; McCann-Erickson; Mendoza-Dillon; GSD&M and Lintas; in Latin America as well as in the Hispanic Market in the United States.
He has worked for Clients such as Coca-Cola, General Motors, L'Oreal, Levi's, Unilever, Sea World, R.J. Reynold's and Wal-Mart, among several other.
In only eight years his agency has consolidated itself as one of the fastest growing, going from 10 million dollars in billings with 12 people in January of Ô94, to 80 million with a staff of 55 in 2002, placing "del Rivero, Messianu DDB" as one of the top 10 Hispanic agencies in the country.
The agency is responsible for accounts of the caliber of McDonald s, State Farm, ExxonMobil, Anheuser-Busch, T.J. Maxx/ Marshalls and Volkswagen, among others.
del Rivero, Messianu DDB has won in the last five years more than 200 awards in Advertising festivals in the United States as well as overseas.
In '95, Ô97 and '98 the agency got "Best of Show" awards at "Se Habla Espa–ol". It was also been one of the most awarded three years in a row at the "Best of Advertising Age Hispanic".
Luis Miguel has been recognized as winner, lecturer and juror at festivals such as the Clios, International Andys, Beldings, Mercury, Tops, Addys, the New York Festival, "Se Habla Espa–ol", AICP and FIAP, being the first juror that represents two different countries in this last festival.
He was named "Creative Director of the Year" from Ô94 to Ô98 by "Latin Spots", a recognized Pan regional Argentinean Trade publication. He was voted by his peers as the first ever "Creative Director of the Year" on a competition organized by "HispanicAd.com". He also received the first ever "President's Award" from AHAA (Association of Hispanic Advertising Agencies). He was a founding member and was elected as the First President of the "Creative Circle of the Latin Market".
Luis Miguel is a member of the Board and has been part of the Faculty at the Miami Ad School. He was born in Mexico City, from Rumanian parents. In his free time he enjoys Music, Film, Art, Tennis and Soccer. He resides in Miami since 1993.
