At the age of ten, Pete Favat already knew art direction was for him. So, upon graduation from the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan. just a few years later he began his career in advertising the old-fashioned way, on Madison Avenue, rising to associate creative director on Diet Coke, Coca Cola and Carnation at Lintas Worldwide. Pete also has restaurant experience, having spent 5 years on the Steak & Ale and Bennigans accounts.
After spending all of his 26 years in New York City, Pete was ready for a change. He came to Boston to work on the Converse account at Ingalls Quinn & Johnson. Five years later, Pete became creative director and partner at Houston Herstek Favat. His work at Houston included Converse, NEC, award winning anti-smoking advertising, as well as the "Time has come today" TV campaign for Fidelity that was dubbed one of the best advertising efforts of 1996 by Time magazine.
Pete has won Cannes gold lions, Gold Clios, British Design and Art Direction, Communication Arts awards, One Show pencils, NY Art Directors Club awards, ANDYs and local Boston Creative awards. Currently, Pete oversees creative development on truth, Celebrity Cruises, and Monster.com.
