Before opening his agency la comunidad in Miami and Buenos Aires, José was Creative Director for almost 5 years at Wieden+Kennedy in Portland, Oregon, for Nike International (Canada, Australia and Latin America). His work also encompassed the general U.S., U.S. Hispanic and European markets and took him to Europe, where he worked from the Wieden+Kennedy offices in Amsterdam and London.

Prior to Wieden, José was Creative Director at Ratto/BBDO (Argentina). Under his leadership, Ratto/BBDO won more awards than any other Argentinean agency and was named "Agency of the Year" for 1996.

His work has been recognized with awards from Cannes, The One Show, Clio, D&AD, The Art Directors Club, London Festival and Best of Show twice at FIAP, the main award among all Spanish and Portuguese speaking countries.

José also teaches "TV concepts" at the Miami Ad School.
