Marie-Catherine DUPUY was born into advertising ; it had been running in her family for 3 generations. In 1970, DUPUY was hired by Philippe MICHEL, who founded later CLM-BBDO, as a copy-writer at DUPUY-COMPTON . She became CD in 1980. She won a lot of awards with campaigns such as Danone or Kelton and worked on many P & G brands.
In 1984 she was one of the Founding Partner and Executive Creative Director of BOULET DRU DUPUY PETIT, that become BDDP in 1987.
When BDDP merged with the TBWA network in 1998, DUPUY is nominated President & Executive Director TBWA\PARIS and Member of the TBWA Worldwide Creative Board created the same year by Lee Clow. In 2003, she is nominated Vice-Chairman & C.C.O TBWA\FRANCE.
She has been elected "Man of the Year for Creativity" by the ad Magazine Stratégies in 1991. In 1992, she is interviewed for the "Creative Leaders" pages in the Wall Street Journal. In 2000, she is speaker at the AAAA Bermuda Conference. In 2001, she is speaker at the Miami Ad School for lecture classes and a series of assignment/critic classes. DUPUY is invited as a judge in the most significant competitions : Cannes (89 and 2001), Andy Awards (1988, 2004 and 2005), Clio as President (1998), Eurobest as President (1999), New York Festival (1999), London International Advertising Awards (2002), Cresta Awards (2001 - 2005), One Show (2002), Art Directors Club of New York (2002), D & AD as Foreman of the Press Advertising non-English Language jury (2003), YoungGuns (2004)…. DUPUY has been profiled in Campaign, Ad Age, Creativity, Graphis…
Under DUPUY's direction, BDDP and then TBWA, have received more than 250 awards and zillions of finalists in all the major national and international competitions. In 2005, for the 3rd consecutive year, Agency of the Year at Cannes. Since 1994 : 21 Effies and Euro Effies, among which the Grand Euro Effie for Absolut in 2003.
Marie-Catherine has four sons aged from 28 to 13.
