Mimi Cook
Mekanism
Mimi grew up in a little town called Modesto, California. She is fairly certain this is the result of going home from the hospital in the wrong station wagon. She later attended the University of California, Berkeley, where she studied literature and Latin, and wrote longwinded papers that today make her cringe.
Her first job in advertising was at Chiat/Day, San Francisco. It was there that Mimi learned the virtue of being a Pirate. After Chiat/New York, she went on to work at other amazing shops (F.C.B., Hal Riney & Partners, Goodby, Silverstein, and Partners) on some amazing brands (Saturn, Banana Republic, Levi’s, Michelob). She has been recognized along the way by Cannes, Communication Arts, the Clios, D&AD, and The One Show. Ad Age also honored her as a “Woman to Watch” and featured her work for Levi’s as one of the 50 Best TV Commercials in 50 Years of Advertising.
