Lauren is an internationally award-winning creative director & art director from South Africa. You can find her making pottery, perfecting her bangs without shaving off her eyebrows and collecting rare tropical plants.

She has a diverse and versatile skill set that includes creative direction, art direction, and brand building and has won numerous awards for her work, including an Ad of the year, a World Illustration Award, and several Loeries. Her personal illustrative work has been featured in various publications and platforms, such as VISI, Glamour, Design Indaba, and The Design Kids.

Throughout her career, she’s made social-distancing benches, created canvas out of malt fields, illustrated a book on Breasts and turned supermarket leaflets into decorative wallpaper. In her spare time, she dedicates her skills to organisations that support a more equitable world. She‘s a mentor to several female-led initiatives and the founder of The Best Company: a community for creative women and all gender non-conforming people to come together and find support to create a more collaborative and inclusive industry.

Lauren has also served as a jury member to Creative Circle, Loeries and The Drum Awards (UK), and One Show 24′ (NYC) and is a Cannes Lions See It Be It alumna for 2023, a prestigious leadership program that selects 16 female leaders from around the world to accelerate their careers in the creative industry.

On a personal level, Lauren is particularly interested in socio-economic problems and is in constant pursuit of ideas that have a genuine impact out there, in the real world.
