Mansha Tandon, Head of Apps & Business Development, Google

Multicultural business leader with over 16 years’ experience scaling FMCG, consumer tech, and media brands & businesses across India, SEA, and AUNZ. India-born, Sydney- and Cairo-raised, with a degree in Economics and French, and an accent no one can quite place. 
 
Started out in Advertising at Clemenger BBDO and Greater Union Cinemas in Sydney, followed by an MBA at IIM Calcutta and wildly different internships—from Morgan Stanley’s trading floor to campaigning in West Bengal’s 2011 elections. 
 
Delivered revenue (and bottles) in Sales at PepsiCo, built brand love for name-on-the-door brands Pepsi and Lay’s as brand manager, making global icons feel locally alive. Later, helped scale Apple Music and iTunes business in India, and ran YouTube and Google Brand & Reputation Marketing through a period of rapid growth and high complexity. Currently run a $XM business for Google as the Head of Business Development for Apps and M&E at Google Play Store for IN, SEA and AUNZ. 
 
Outside work: part of The Advertising Club of India’s Management Committee, serial movie-debater with partner Nikhit, sometimes fiction writer, and loyal servant to cats Posto and Mishti. Music obsessions: 60s folk, 90s indie rock, and afro-funk.
