Daniel Kee
Chief Creative Officer, McCann Singapore
Daniel’s life in advertising began around the time “ambient” was taking over outdoor, and “guerilla” was laying the foundation for “brand activation”. He’s seen “digital” come and … become everyday. Mainstream creatives were obsolete because they weren’t “social” enough, and now social creatives are desperately banging on the doors of agencies that remember how to do big brand work. Through it all, he’s quietly nurtured some businesses, raised some creatives and produced work he wished his father understood, when he was alive. Looking back, perhaps the almost imperceptible nod to convey his pride was his way of communicating everything. And that is the beauty of our job – to use words, visuals, sounds, or the absence of it – to communicate timeless human truths, in ever more compelling ways, throughout movements, eras and time itself.
