The current Chief Creative Officer of AKQA, Diego Machado is recognized as one of the main faces of the new generation of creative leaderships.

In 2014, at just the age of 26, he co-founded AKQA’s São Paulo studio with Hugo Veiga where they’ve been partnering with clients like Google, Netflix and Nike; but also for artists like Usher, Lady Gaga, Elton John and Baco Exú do Blues.

AKQA São Paulo, is re-imagining the future of creative shops. It’s human and community oriented where creative-minded people from advertising, music, artist, gastronomy or performers – are welcome to co-create with AKQA employees. The co-creation spirit is also extended to clients and the global network.

Nominee as New Blood by D&AD, Creatives You Should Know by Adweek, Young Innovator by The Drum & Google and the most awarded art director in the world & Young Lions by Cannes Festival 2013. The same year, his work ‘Dove – Real Beauty Sketches’ achieved the Titanium Gran Prix in Cannes, it became the most watched ad in history and Best Ad by Time magazine.

In 2019, along his team and clients was awarded with 2 Gran Prix in Cannes with Air Max Graffiti Stores (Média) and Bluesman (Entertainment for Music).
