Gaëtan du Peloux, Co-president & Chief Creative Officer, Marcel

Born and raised in Paris, Gaëtan is the eldest of seven children.

He started his career as a copywriter at CLM/BBDO in 2004.

He’s now 44 years old and works at Marcel, the creative hot shop of Publicis Groupe, as co-president & chief creative officer.

Along with his creative partner, Youri Guerassimov, Gaëtan has produced groundbreaking works for a large span of national and international brands. Known for their creative excellence, some of their campaigns became iconic, like “the inglorious fruits & vegetables” for Intermarché, “the black supermarket” for Carrefour, “HackMarket” for Back Market or “WoMen’s football” for Orange.

Gaëtan is one of the most awarded French creatives of his generation with more than 400 awards, including several Cannes Lions Grand Prix, D&AD Black Pencils and One show best of show.

He has been honored to chair or take part in all the creative festivals he admires (D&AD, Cannes Lions, One Show, Clio, LIA, Eurobest, Andy, NY festival, French ADC, …)

Gaëtan thinks that advertising can be the worst job on earth if you do what is expected, and the best one if you do the opposite.

Optimistic, almost naïve, he lives under this philosophy: “they didn’t know it was impossible, so they did it”.

Gaëtan is a happy husband and a father of three. He tries to spend more time with them than with Youri. Yes, he tries.
