Joao Medeiros, Executive Creative Director, Havas Group Middle East
Joao Medeiros, Executive Creative Director of Havas Middle East. He leads the creative departments and creative output of all Havas Group entities in the Middle East from the regional head office in Dubai, UAE. Joao has previously led Havas Middle East to become recognized as the number one network in the region by the D&AD and The One Show. Supported by his team, he secured the Outdoor Cannes Lion Grand Prix in 2022 for adidas. The adidas Liquid Billboard is listed by WARC Creative 100 as the 7th most awarded creative campaign of 2022.
Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, but raised in the UK, he worked in Brussels, Antwerp, New York City, Los Angeles, and Amsterdam at network agencies and creative boutiques, such as 180 LA & Amsterdam, BBDO New York, and TBWA Chiat Day LA.
Joao has worked on global and national campaigns for brands such as Nissan, Honda, Qatar Airways, Sony PlayStation, Carlsberg, Reckitt, FAB, and adidas.
His creative work has received top accolades at key advertising festivals (Cannes Lions, D&AD, Clio, The One Show, and LIA). Most recently, The Drum listed him as one of the top 20 Executive Creative Directors worldwide.
His creative leadership contributed to Havas Middle East being recognized as one of the best networks across the Middle East and Africa at the Campaign Global Agency of the Year Awards and being ranked as the number 2 agency globally in WARC Media 100.
Joao currently sits on the Havas EMEA Creative Council.
