Shiny Lee, Creative Director, Whatever Taipei

Shiny Lee is a creative director at Whatever Taipei. She was born in Taipei, nurtured in Tokyo, and trained in New York, with a BA degree from Waseda University and an MFA degree from Parsons School of Design. She has interned at Rhizomatiks and worked as a designer at PARTY before joining Whatever, where she created award-winning campaigns for brands like Uber Eats and 7-Eleven. She is also the co-founder of the Taiwan Emoji Project, a project that promotes, explores, and translates the Taiwanese experience into the universal pictorial language.

Her accolades include awards at Spikes Asia, One Show Greater China, D&AD, Young Lions Taiwan, LIA Chinese Creativity, Effie Greater China, etc. She was appointed judge of the Cannes Lions, One Show, Spikes Asia, YouTube Works Awards, LIA Chinese Creativity Show, ACC Tokyo Creativity Awards, One Asia Creative Awards, AD STARS, One Screen Short Film Festival, and Digital Singularity Awards. Shiny is also a frequent speaker at Taiwan Creativity Week and a part-time professor at the Department of Communications Design at Shih Chien University. Through her journey in the world of creativity, she is determined to embrace inclusion, equality, and diversity.
