Simba Mwamuka, Creative Director, Bergast House

I am a young creative professional with an emphasis on design and digital. I’m driven by my desire to be better than I was yesterday and my big, audacious goals that go beyond borders, race, and gender. I’ve worked with some of the best brands in Africa, the US, and Europe including Econet Wireless, Liquid Telecoms, Microsoft, MTN, and Standard Chartered Bank.

In the past couple of years, I have been fortunate enough to scoop awards and accomplishments in advertising that include DStv Ngoma awards in 2016, 2017 Loeries Shared Value finalist, 2018 Poster for Tomorrow nominations, landed a spot on the 2020 Loeries Top 50 Young Creatives, being part of the few Africans and only Zimbabwean elected and selected for the 2022 AdForum PHNX Awards jury and London International Awards mentees program respectively, and elected 2022-23 Vice Chairperson for the Creative Directors Forum.

I love design and telling visual stories that appeal to different audiences. I’m eager to learn about the way people think, react and interact with brands, products, and services. With a background in brand communication & advertising and now Creative lead for Bergast House Harare (Zimbabwe) and Kigali (Rwanda), I work with different regional brands helping deliver their strategic objectives on a variety of projects from ideation to delivery. As a firm believer that design and innovation drive progress, my passion to make a positive impact in Africa through the power of design has seen me work on some exciting projects across Africa and beyond.
